Lucifer's plan to have his son rule has not been deterred by the conflicts raging among the Descendants and humans. In fact, they have only brought him closer to that goal. Each book gets better than the pile ilia. By mid way thru the book I couldn't put the darned thing down. A total cliff hanger and barn burner. And unlike end of previous book in the series, this book had a good closing ending. ...but still left open the door for the story to continue. I personally like a story where the good guy wins in the end, gets the girl, and all is good. It might be predictable and common...but that's what I dig. This. Oil delivered and then some! The story line was good, the characters well developed. I found some grammatical errors that were annoying. This is what happens when spell check is used rather than a human editor.
Send me the fourth now. I am really into this series and James Somers is a very good Author. More of God please. But, this is one of Mr Somers series, I didn't put down until I was finished. Love the characters.
For the third time in this series, I have been thoroughly entranced
by the story, yet dismayed and frustrated by the incredibly poor editing. I am so tired offering words used incorrectly, used in the wrong context, and whole phrases used incorrectly, changing the intended meaning
I will continue to read the remainder of the books in the hope that the editing got better. I the editor was used throughout, I hope Mr. Somers finds a new one for future works.
I have recently developed a love for whatever genre you might say the series belongs in, and this series is phenomenal! Loved every book and cannot wait for #4! Really loved that I was able to research and find some of the things spoken of in the series actually came from the Bible!
I like that it is a clean read. No vulgarity. Aside from the vampires and werewolves and mystical creatures, (it took me a while to get into the book because of them). But once I understood what the meaning behind the book I realy dug in and now I am on the 4th book of this saga Millenium! For people who are into Good vs. Evil these books are great!
I really like this series. James Somers did an excellent job at developing the characters in the first book and continued to grow the personalities when the responsibilities and situations mounted. I've never been a big fan of vampire and lycan stories, but James crafted the dialog and emotional tempo so well I often forgot "what" they were and was taken by "who" they were and their personal challenges. The only aspect that could make these books better would be some artwork spaced throughout. Not one to watch horror movies I envisioned supermodels and football players as stand-ins for the characters. Hey, could be closer to the mark than you think. -)
James Somers is a new author for me and being a fan of Dekker and Pereti, I'm glad I found him! The pace is fast and the emotions are real. It amazing to me how an author can combine the fruits of the Spirit with some classic horror monsters and turn it into a battle of good versus evil. Looking forward to reading some his other works!
